How I Stay Motivated

I get asked so many questions about how I stay motivated and get up to train every day, how I don’t binge eat junk food and how I turned to healthier eating habits. Well these are my 3 top tips for how I stay motivated.

#1. I post on Instagram to make myself accountable and motivated. My kids also help me stay motivated, I want to be fit and healthy so I can play and run around with my kids. And the big one is I buy new active wear to keep myself motivated.

#2. I think about my future self. At night we normally reflect on the day we have had and all the things we wished that we did or didn’t do. I want to reflect on all the things I did do, I am only going to have positive things to reflect on if I get up and train in the morning, I will be happy that I pushed myself to move my body and not feel bad that I sat on the couch all day.

#3. For me food prep is key to healthy eating. If I don’t have food prepped ready in the cupboard or fridge that’s when I tend to binge eat or eat junk food and order take away. So meal prep your lunches and snacks for 3 days at a time, as this will help stop the unhealthy eating. Also chocolate and chips is still okay to eat just in moderation. Don’t eat a whole block of chocolate in one go, have one or two rows each day. It’s taken me 5yrs, 2 kids and 1 stepchild to finally stop eating a whole packet of tam-tams or a whole bag of MnMs in one go.

I love what you said about your kids keeping you motivated! Staying fit for all the things you can do is so much more important than fitness just for the sake of your appearance. Thanks for this post 🙂
